Welcome to "FishKayakFun's Web Site" - A Guest House for Fishermen and Kayak Enthusiasts

Welcome Home Anglers! This guest house is ideally located to take advantage of Lake St. Clair's most productive fishing destinations. Perch, bass, walleye, muskie and sturgeon are all caught in the local bays and channels of Bouvier Bay, Lake St. Clair. If you decide to fish the south end of Lake St. Clair, then it is only a short ride to a local launch site.

If you decide to fish Bouvier Bay and its connecting waters, then you can launch your boat right across the street at the DNR launch site. There are also two other DNR launch sites in the neighborhood (see map above). Each site will put you close to a different fishing opportunity! So from the guest house it is easy to fish different locations and dodge daily weather conditions if necessary. Fishing is great in Bouvier Bay, the Channels of the St. Clair River, or The Flats of Harsen Island. However, the preference for most small mouth bass fishermen is still the south end of Lake St. Clair, along the "mile road section" of Lake St. Clair.

Lake St. Clair will once again host the Bass Master Tournament. The average bass weigh for the 2013 tournament was 4.5 lbs! We expect bigger fish this year! The end of the 2016 fishing season was very productive as well as the 2017 ice fishing season. So now is the time to make your reservations. We look forward to hearing from you soon and we will be happy to answer all of your questions.

The Vacation House is located across the street from the lake. The house is clean, safe, and it was recently remodeled. On the first floor, there is a large living room with a dining table in front of the picture window that overlooks Bouvier Bay. There is TV cable service, TV/stereo/DVD players, a modern kitchen with refrigerator/oven/range/microwave, cooking utensils and table service for four. In the kitchen area, there is a second serves counter and a smaller second sink.

The second floor has two bedrooms (Queen size bed in master bedroom and two twin beds in the second bedroom), a lounge area with a futon and another twin bed, and a spacious bathroom with large shower and seat. There is no central air conditioning, however. The master bedroom has a wall AC unit which if turned on a couple hours before going to sleep will condition the air. There are fans in the bedrooms and upstairs lounge. The Guest House is setup for four house guests. Exceptions maybe granted but only with prior permission before arrival. We provide bed linen and some towels for our house guests. --(See Floor Plan) -- (Parking Instructions)

The backyard has an attached 10 x 20 wood deck, and a second 10 x 20 paver patio with a picnic table, deck chairs, gas grill, fire pit, fish cleaning station, and available parking in driveway for two boats and transports. There is outside electrical service for recharge your boat batteries.

There is a party store and bait shop across the street. Dana's Party Store also serves pizza, cold sandwiches, and hot daily dinner specials. If you want to dine out then there are six waterfront restaurants all within a two mile drive. These restaurants provide anything from causal to upscale dining. On the weekend, several of the restaurants have entertainment on their patios.
